Pros
I found this a wonderful experience. The team was willing to teach you the ropes whenever they had some time, and once we got into the groove there was always something to be done. This wasn't a "sit at your desk for 8 hours working on Excel" internship -- the work I did genuinely felt like it was making me improve in my engineering skills. I hope others have the same experience!
Cons
My only complaint was that there wasn't much initial direction at the start of the internship, so it took a few weeks to actually get into a routine and have a long-term project.
