Pros
Flexibility Fast learning Decent Pay
Cons
There is a lack of support for and from middle level management. Studio managers are overworked and don't have time to slow down to teach and guide. But the expectation is that you know your project role (it changes from project to project and is not the same as your job role) and not need help to do it. Project expectations are often assumed, not communicated, and uncoordinated. The fasted paced projects can be fun and interesting, but Unispace doesn't seem to think about the effect on moral and productivity when projects are started without clear direction and work stops and starts unexpectedly. I have never worked at a company that says 'Pencils down, but if you have free time keep going just in case'. They burn fee and human resources as though everyone is replaceable. Management talks a good game, but there is little follow through on supporting their people.
