Pros

There is real talent here — professionals who are skilled and dedicated. And if you're lucky enough to have a strong direct manager, your immediate team can thrive.

Cons

The culture at Uplinq is deeply toxic, and it starts at the top. Leadership actively seeks out talented, knowledgeable professionals but then undermines them the moment they speak up, share ideas, or try to do their jobs effectively. From what I have seen, offering a different perspective or managing your own team the way you see fit is treated as a threat rather than a contribution. Retaliation is real. If you're not fully in compliance with leadership's approach, you will be targeted. It's not subtle. Upper management is populated with individuals who lack the experience to lead well, and that dysfunction trickles down through every level of the organization. The revolving door of employees is staggering. People come and go constantly, and rather than asking why, leadership seems to lean into it. If you are looking for career growth — look elsewhere. You will not find it here. The environment is designed to keep people down, not lift them up. Ambition and initiative are not rewarded; they are seen as threats. Worth noting: if you browse recent Glassdoor reviews, it is my observation that you will find that a disproportionate number appear to come from the sales department. Draw your own conclusions, but it is worth considering whether those reviews reflect the full employee experience across the company. Also telling is where leadership chooses to invest: rather than hiring and retaining skilled workers at the ground level, the focus appears to be on bringing in higher-level C-suite hires. That imbalance speaks volumes about where the company's real priorities lie — and it isn't in the people doing the day-to-day work.

Pros

Uplinq is a great place to work. We’re remote-first, offer competitive pay, paid time off, and a relaxed, flexible culture. The team is focused and driven, with a strong “get your work done” mindset, but it’s also a fun and supportive environment with a great sense of community. People are trusted to work independently, stay focused, and contribute meaningfully while still enjoying the people they work with.

Cons

None - just be prepared to work independently, stay organized, and manage your time well

Pros

I started as a tax intern and was able to grow into a full-time position, which speaks to the growth opportunities within the company. The role is fully remote, compensation is reasonable, and there are great learning opportunities. The tax work includes a good mix of unique and complex returns, along with more straightforward ones, which makes it a strong environment for building experience. The tax department also has an amazing VP, manager, and team who are supportive, knowledgeable, and great to work with. There is also flexibility with hours, so taking care of things like a doctor’s appointment or getting my car serviced was never an issue as long as the work got done.

Cons

The only real downside is that there is currently no IRA or retirement plan offered but that will likely change in the future.
