Pros

1 or 2 amazing trainers.

Cons

Terrible processes. No understanding that the needs of students across different faculties are different. Decisions are made higher up, by people who are out of touch and are just worried about profits. Middle management has no backbone. They just want to please the higher ups, which is understandable when you're stuck in a management job I guess. Manager constantly says things like "got your back", when they actually don't. Asked for a pay rise after one year. Got made redundant weeks later. Favouritism towards trainers that simply are not qualified to teach certain courses. Got example, one trainer, after years of being employed, still does not understand how use the learning platform to mark assessments correctly.

Pros

The greater upskilled company had a great culture, good integration into meetings and good results and praise with vouchers and kudos. The video meetings were engaging and did feel like I could stay long-term if something in terms of the manager changed and gave them time to change. The equipment was fantastic and a good opportunity for an upstart department. Marketing was dynamic and adaptive/evolved.

Cons

Upper management and the board did not accept my warnings on interviews and post quarterly reviews on the behavioural issues of the incoming GM. Micromanagement, narcissistic personality disorder, control issues and very disorganised administrative skills. Having now witnessed 2 other ex-employees all having psychology services along with myself, all independently confirming from their DR we are recovering from treatment by person/s with NPD. I'd advise you to steer clear and put your mental health first.

Pros

People who you work with are friendly

Cons

Should have read reviews beforehand, usually do, but didn’t on this occasion. Noticed a lot of former employees on CRM system from past few months during the training period - big red flag Completed training period for first 2/3 weeks then randomly taken into the office and told i’m being let go, zero warning. Considering I have not done any calls yet (due to training) this was very surprising. When I pressed for specifics, manager didn't give me any and just told ‘not a good fit for the team, nothing personal as everyone likes you’ Basically an unfair dismissal but can’t do anything about that in first 3 months As a previous review stated, don't expect to last long if you aren’t an absolute suck up to the manager Frustrating experience and complete waste of time, they have a ‘we are family’ sign on the wall, that tells you everything you need to know - get out ASAP!
