Pros
Flexible and accommodating. Work is varied which keeps things interesting. Company vehicles are available with gas cards or charging memberships for electric vehicles offered! RRSP matching available. Lots of opportunity for career growth. I was a welder for a few years before expressing interest in moving into an office role. Since the company is growing rapidly, a few opportunities became available quickly. Uptime always prefers to promote internally as well, rewarding loyalty. Lots of support for learning a new role, and everyone seems willing to help with whatever you might need. The people all seem great to be around as well. the only time I came across anyone particularly unkind or generally sour, they didn't last long. It's easy to feel passionate about the wellbeing of the company when you like everyone involved. I go to work everyday and crack jokes with friends while honing my craft and learning new things. Wage is competitive with union rates and the benefits aren't bad. If you bring your own tools to work, Uptime will replace anything that breaks. I would definitely recommend applying here or having this company do the work. Good team.
Cons
Communication can be a bit foggy at times, but everyone is understanding, and with a bit of clarification, this issue can usually be avoided. more of a due diligence thing on the individuals part. Sometimes the start times are relatively early, so if starting at 7 or 6 in the morning is an issue for you consider which department you'll be applying to.
