Pros
Fairly solid healthcare division that seems to have stability at the moment
Cons
The biggest con is the return-to-office mandate implemented across all WPP agencies, which has proven to be pretty detrimental to morale and pretty transparently done as a soft layoff tactic. VML specifically: Company feels extremely soulless in the last 2 years, no "culture" to speak of anymore. Since merger with Wunderman Thompson, PTO has been substantially reduced (used to have unlimited sick and personal now limited to 10 and 5 days respectively). Salaries are stagnant, raises are small, other compensation (employee recognition program, holiday giftcard bonus) have been completely done away with. You are a cog in a giant machine, which allows subpar employees to skate by regardless of performance and put a ton of extra pressure on their team members who actually do their jobs. I was on a team with a writer who was outright hostile and missed every deadline we gave him for 3 years, and nothing was done despite repeated pleas to management.
