Pros

In my several years I worked with some really good people, One or two of the managers and trainers are actually O.K and human, and I really do mean I can count them on four fingers... pay was alright but nothing special really.

Cons

Well well, where do I start? The first and probably main issue is bullying and harassment from certain power tripping team leaders and members of management. a very "if your face fits" place to be in. High staff turnover: again. certain team leaders may take a dislike to up and coming promising employees who may be more suited to leadership roles. and WILL find a way to push HR for the old sacky-hammer. a very "this is our club" mentality. Lost count of how many people came and went before HR before their 9month contract was up. you are just a number not a person. they WILL find a way to terminate the contract by hook or crook. Employees being verbally belittled on a daily basis by team leaders for the slightest reason whatsoever- which escalates on a daily basis in front of work mates in the middle of the floor, the canteen, wherever. even if the employee tries hardest to appease the one in charge who is totally power tripping it does not work and it continues until said person is sacked- and the team leader carries on as if nothing has happened, and turns attention to the next unfortunate soul. HR could not care less about new employees. they only cover the backs of the team leaders/management. You will be offered union representation when you start employment. but this is useless as the union will not stand up for you unless you have been there over 9months. but they will take the union money anyway from day1. people sacked for absolutely no reason execpt "face didnt fit" they will slap a "misconduct" or "gross misconduct" as an easy way to get rid. dont expect verbal or written warnings. unless you are lucky. seen work buddies pulled into an office after a leader has been on at them and then *boom* their gone. easy way to say theres XXX new jobs at valeo! great headlines in the paper! nah not really thats just the staff turnover! and good luck to those I know who have got to put them down as a previous employer reference on their CV's with a completely fabricated GM dismissal!

Pros

Great place to learn and gain hands-on automotive experience. People are generally friendly and easy to get along with, and you’ll be exposed to a lot of technologies and real-world problem solving very quickly.

Cons

Upper management is disorganized and heavily political. Decision making is often chaotic, priorities constantly change, and there is very little work-life balance. Long hours and high stress can burn people out quickly.
