Pros

50% Discount, Rad music, SOME great people, mellow dress code. awesome brand.

Cons

For the back stock manager- under payed, lots of hard work, on a good day you'll get 20 boxes of shipment, on a bad day you can get up to 120 boxes. "at my store at least" I'm the only one who works on BC shipment, no one else, I work really hard to move shoe boxes to make space, then to have it all messed up the next day. No one else cares to help keep the shoes organized as well as the back room in general. No one ever cleans the bathroom, i end up doing it on my own time, cause i use, it id like a clean bathroom. Bi polar hours, one week i'll have 26 the next 11, hours, not enough time to get anything done especially in a 3 hour shift. no credit for sales, since stock manager doesn't count for that. when you have an open scheduled like me usually company take full advantage, vans doesn't. when someone cant make it to their shift they;'' call me 20 min before the sift starts and asks if i can cover it, of course i say yes... taking me 30 min to get to work leaving me with -10 minuets, why not have just used a reliable employee for that shift in the first place if you know that someone has a bad attendance as usual?

Pros

They were super flexible with you and very chill. The discount was also super nice and you could also use it at the sister locations.

Cons

Sometimes management would turn a blind eye when you would need help, especially when starting

Pros

The environment is absolutely amazing with my coworkers and they are always supportive. Any issues that arise are met with a high level of humanity - on the base level of the people I work with, because I haven't really delt with corporate. It genuinely feels nice to work here when you have a team like mine. The culture of skating is absolutely amazing to learn about at VANs and be a part of as well. I like the history behind some of the shoes, but that's probably just because I'm a history nerd.

Cons

Part time doesn't get many hours or enough pay to survive off of. However, you can't become full time unless you get a higher position. Sadly, they are incredibly hard to get, due to the fact people seem to stay with VANs if they get that promotion, just because it seems to be great to work here once you have that higher position. As well as the usual shift is 4 hours, and sometimes you only get one shift a week. It's just incredibly hard to stay here when it can't even give you enough money on your paychecks to get a small amount of groceries that'll last one person two weeks.
