Hi, it’s Erica - People Director at Velstar.
It’s obviously disappointing to read that this is what you've taken away from your time with us and while I recognise that everyone's experiences are different, I thought it was important to respond and give a little balance.
The SLT has an open door approach to feedback and when I joined Velstar I met with everybody in the agency, individually, to understand what life at here is like and to try and build a picture of what works well and what doesn’t, direct from the source.
As well as having conversations with the team and listening to what people are saying, we closely monitor our ‘people’ stats to make sure everyone’s happy, healthy and working well together. Our current employee turnover is just 5%, we have very low levels of sickness absence and in a recent employee survey, 88% said they’d recommend Velstar as a place to work.
Is there room for improvement? Of course, and that’s why we’ll continue to work on and invest in initiatives that make life at Velstar better for everyone.
