Pros

There are a handful of genuinely lovely people who work here (but they're all incredibly miserable due to the Ventrica regime)

Cons

Where do I start? (Though Im currently an employee, I am trying to find another job to go to because of the following) - poor pay, like really poor pay - terrible job security - workplace bullying is known and tolerated by senior management - poor leadership and direction - racism and prejudice are allowed to thrive - no progression - staff aren't developed - you can't build a career here...your career ends here. If you have a career, don't think it will continue if you join ventrica. You will quickly find you have stopped growing and a victim of micro management. - Their benefit scheme consists of fruit and massages. That's it. - It is very normal to see staff in tears due to poor treatment by seniors. - Saviours of Southend? Job ' opportunities'? Please! Ventrica chews up people and spits them out in fear of their jobs and livelihoods. - CEO is patronising and controlling. - It is honestly like being back at school. - all of the best people are leaving or have already left because they have had enough.

Pros

Fully remote work, which offers flexibility and eliminates commuting. The company provides structured training when starting the role, and the IT systems are generally well organised and easy to use.

Cons

Work management is handled by individuals who are familiar with the system, but they are often not adequately prepared to provide the level of support needed during periods of high demand and stress. As a result, employees may sometimes feel unsupported when workloads intensify. The system used to request holidays and time off is not always reliable, which can make it difficult for employees to plan their leave or organise personal time in advance. Although the role is fully remote, employees are expected to use their own equipment, which may require personal investment in computers, keyboards, and other necessary tools. The company places a very strong emphasis on performance targets and results, which can create a highly pressured working environment. Opportunities for professional development or career progression also appear to be limited. At times, the overall atmosphere can feel challenging, and there could be more focus on fostering a healthier and more supportive workplace culture. Additionally, the salary level is relatively low considering the demands of the role, and there is no clear rota system that fairly distributes time off during public holidays.
