Pros
I’ve worked for Veranex for several years. I’ve read the reviews and can certainly understand and respect the perspective of those that submitted those reviews. It is true that Veranex has had its challenges integrating each of the legacy companies into a single cohesive unit. Some of those challenges were self-inflicted and some of those difficulties were attributed to the volatile economic environment that everyone (consultancy or not) has struggled to navigate over the past several years. The challenges and difficulties encountered have necessitated difficult business decisions that have impacted many present and past employees. As such, their feedback on this platform is fair.
Although there have been business challenges, those challenges have not taken away from the experience and expertise that is offered by the people that make up present day Veranex. Veranex is comprised of individuals with a breadth and depth of expertise that is rivaled by only one, or maybe two, other companies. Most importantly, everyone I encounter and work with at the company has a genuine passion for what they do. Yes, the challenges encountered over the past several years have led to frustration that has caused some individuals to leave. However, several have returned, and that says a lot about the people, culture, drive, and work that is done for and delivered to our clients.
I have noted a few reviews that have mentioned unprofessional and/or unethical business practices. Although I cannot comment on what may have caused an individual to make those assertions, I can confidently comment with respect to my own experience with colleagues and leadership at Veranex over the past 5 years. I have never encountered a situation or been privy to a conversation, decision, or otherwise that was unethical or was conducted with unprofessional or unethical intentions. To the contrary, I have been privy to situations, conversation, and actions where leadership went out of their way to conduct business in a manner that was beneficial to a client (sometimes at detriment to Veranex) and/or conduct decision making with compassion and respect for individuals that may be impacted by a necessary business decision. To be clear, my comments are not intended to diminish the perspective of others. Rather, I am providing a view of the company and its culture as I know it and as I know others share.
To those that may be considering joining Veranex, you would be working with a group of professionals who know Clinical Research and Medical Device Development better than anyone else. The work is challenging and rewarding, and the people are genuinely some of the best you will meet.
To potential clients, Veranex has some of the best resources and expertise available. Quality of outcome with respect to research, development, and regulatory approval is excellent. The people at Veranex want you to succeed, as it is their own personal and professional success. The medical device product development process is complex from both a technical and business perspective. Veranex strives to operate as a partner and build lasting relationships with our clients. I hear this expressed in almost every leadership discussion. I hope that you will allow us the opportunity.
Cons
Marketplace is difficult. Project funding is much more challenging than 3-5 years ago.
