Pros
Nothing relevant to outsiders. People are great. Company is so bad. We are losing a friend every week. Very sad. "Titles are free!" is taken to the heart. You could be a "Director" while overseeing 4 people without an operation budget.
Cons
Where do I begin... Excluding new comers, the average salary has decreased over the last 3 years. Accounting and finance is what drives how the engineering organization is structured. Benefits are getting more expensive while getting less valuable. Best of all, when they asked to come back to office, they wanted to give stickers to those who can prove they are vaccinated (segregation!) Every single member of my team is actively applying for new roles outside Valassis (or Vericast, or HC, or whatever the name will be next month). Another example of how wise executives are: we had a huge party to celebrate RMN as the way the future will be, few month later, they sold it. Literally, there isn't a single person left from the original founding group. Another fun fact, some folks have unlimited PTO, others have a varying number based on their negotiation skills when they joined the company. Alright, I can keep going but I have a job interview to prep for now.
