Pros

This place as toxic as it is, is great with flexibility if you’re well liked and supported by managers and need a flexible schedule they are open to listening. Very very selective with the approval process.

Cons

Generally, I won’t voice my opinion about previous employee / employer experiences because I feel it’s all based on individual personal perception but this place is TOXIC! I have a level of anxiety that I’ve never experienced in my life. First time Managers are put in positions of authority and backed by an leadership team that’s tone deaf and out of touch with the job market, and employee experience. You will be thrown into processes without proper training or understanding of the business and reprimanded and torn down when it’s not done right. Have a question about practices or fairness of how an employee is being treated that differs from an opinion of a manager or person on the leadership team, good luck with having a long term career path here because your opinion isn’t welcomed, no matter how much they tell you they welcome feedback. There is a me vs. them thought process and when you think you’re being supported and /or having discussions with other departments they will not back you up and at the sake of not wanting to rub someone the wrong way they will join in on trying to exit you from the organization because you’re not a good fit. The culture is weird and toxic and a lot of the more recent reviews pointing out micro managers, low paying salaries, job misalignment, and managers pretty much doing whatever they want are true.

Pros

I have been a product manager at several companies, and it is genuinely one of the best environments I have worked in. Verisk provides a unique opportunity to work closely with customers, engineering, design, and leadership to solve meaningful problems and deliver products that create business value. Product managers are trusted to help shape strategy and influence key decisions. Teams collaborate effectively, and there is a shared commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for customers. Leadership is approachable and receptive to new ideas, creating an environment where innovation is encouraged.

Cons

Navigating insurance regulatory requirements and customer compliance can occasionally slow feature development and release timelines.
