It’s hard to understand how not a single UK-based employee is deemed suitable for these positions. It would be great to see hard-working UK employees recognized and rewarded for their efforts, rather than consistently bringing in international employees to fill these roles. The UK’s work culture differs from other countries, and these differences can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or misalignment.
2. We’re often asked to provide feedback through surveys, but the same concerns are repeatedly raised by employees without any meaningful action being taken. One of the biggest frustrations is the lack of sick pay. Despite this being a common issue highlighted by many, it’s consistently avoided with vague or political responses. Instead of being transparent and stating, ‘We will not offer sick pay,’ we’re told things like, ‘Sick pay isn’t something we’re considering at the moment,’ which leaves employees feeling unheard and frustrated.
