Pros
I worked in grounds maintenance. The job tasks themselves were hard, but a lot of fun. The free golf at a high end golf course made the hard work worth it. Employees at lower levels were great people who were friendly and helpful. Competitive pay within the field. Full benefits and lots of employee perks.
Cons
Management seemed to overlook a key component of a successful business operation, which is the health and happiness of the employees. Very close minded and didn't listen to ideas on how to improve our efficiency. Stuck in their old ways. In the entire time I worked there, I never once met the GM. Also beware if your 1st language is English, you will be held to an unfair higher standard simply because management doesn't want to take the time to explain discrepancies to those who are still learning English.
