Pros

This company is the most challenging company I've ever worked for. It forces you to continually try to find better ways to make an impact at the level that no other company expects so this company is not for everybody. For those who perform at the highest level of competance you will be rewarded with increased responsibility and a growth. I've been at companies before that required you to be political to advance and it's nice to be at a place where your work quality and commitment is what matters. The potential of this company is tremendous but will take a few more years to deliver the results needed to live up to what it could be.

Cons

Don't expect 9 to 5 work hours. May not be right place for those with a lot of outside commitments.

Pros

I have been working at Verseon for a couple of years now and it has been such an adventure. It has been a complete whirlwind, but I mean that in a good way. The more time I spend at this company the more I have been able to shape my own role. This is why Verseon really sets itself apart from other companies, they truly believe in people's abilities to learn and take on new challenges.

Cons

It can be scary to learn new things and to think about how to do it in the most efficient way possible. But I also think that's what keeps work exciting. No one is going to tell you to "turn left, then turn right" here so it's not always a fit for some people.

Pros

The company has a fantastic idea and end goal. Benefits are reasonable. Day to day schedule tends to be flexible in case something comes up in your schedule. Most employees are friendly and easy to get along with, however they tend to be somewhat "clicky". Complimentary dinners on Fridays and the occasional company lunches are always a plus, however there never seems to be enough food for everyone during the lunches. Most people tend to start work late, which could be a plus to some people, but not for others if you are a morning person.

Cons

Management is an absolute mess and needs to improve before they even consider expanding the company or it will be a disaster. Upper management are essentially all physicists trying to run a biotech company, so you can imagine the direction the company is headed. The CEO has a very crude and obnoxious sense of humor, often resulting in awkwardness that is sensed throughout the room. Not enough vacation or sick days. No end of the year bonus. No ESPP. Stock options aren't even beneficial considering the price per share has been dropping for the past year. Supposedly there is a new building that we are to move into which has been delayed for over a year apparently.
