Pros
Really enjoyed my time at Vertical Institute. The team is driven and there's a strong sense of purpose around what the company is building - helping people upskill in tech and AI is genuinely meaningful work. As a B2B consultant the role gave me alot of exposure across industries since we were pitching to corporates across different sectors. Management was approachable and the learning curve was steep in a good way. Commission structure was transparent and the leads pipeline was well-supported. Good energy in the office and teammates were collaborative not competitive.
Cons
Fast-paced environment means things can change quickly so you need to be adaptable. Not the best fit if you prefer a very structured 9-5. The B2B sales cycle can be long so patience is needed especially in the early months.
