Pros

- The office is located in an easily accessible place. - You rarely have to bring work home.

Cons

- There is no structure from the two founders. The leads are meant to come up with their own team structure, which means that if you get a manager who is not resourceful or a total micro-manager, you'll be stuck in the same role forever. Hence... - There is no growth in this company. There is no career path charted out, and when asked, HR also remained mum and avoided the question by saying please refer to your immediate superior. Which in the case of Con #1 means you're stuck forever. - the founders claim to be receptive to feedback. However when presented with constructive criticism, they end up turning around the points to make it about your failure and lack in performance rather than seeing the issues for what they are -- which is fundamentally, structural. - In my role, I have firsthand experience for how they manipulated their campaign reporting and reporting tools to deliver inflated performance numbers to their clients. This isn't the only type of numbers they've cooked up either... The lack of ethics don't seem to matter since they to drink from the PAP's teat and continue to get work of government campaigns. - The founders lack vision. They fire those with skill, keep those who are automatons, and consider those who challenge the status quo "toxic" when they're the ones who are truly toxic.

Pros

Flexible and friendly working environment with 2 WFH days a week. The management team is transparent and conducts quarterly staff meetings, so we have clear vision and direction. Team mates are quite friendly and work well together. A lot of opportunities and things to learn.

Cons

The company seems to be going through a rough patch however I got a feeling that they will bounce back.

Pros

There's absolutely no positives to joining this hot mess. Join at your own risk. Even though the job market is bad, please don't come here. You risk your mental health and your weekends.

Cons

Where should I start? 1) Freelancers are constantly chasing producers for payment. We redirect all the questions to the finance team but finance doesn't do anything about it. Some of the freelancers have taken their cases to Small Claims Court but don't think anything will happen. On top of that, we have to constantly reassure freelancers that their payment will come in but it feels like we are lying to them because when we ask finance for a set date or timeline, they are unable to provide us with a timeline. Instead of working out timelines or answering the emails from freelancers, our operations person only has weird solutions like extending payment terms or asking us to negotiate with freelancers to accept new payment terms. The amount of freelancers chasing us is ridiculous 2) The work is sub-par. Because no freelancer wants to work with us, our own internal team has to be stretched to figure things on their own. No real solution is provided my senior management. If you come in as a producer, please be prepared to wear 3 to 4 different hats. Most likely have to edit, shoot, produce, write. Clients become aware of the manpower problem and quality issue as they work with us. I think most clients come to viddsee because of our history but not because of our current capability. A client wrote an lengthy nasty email to us saying that because of an art director's poor quality of work, they don't want to work with us. 3) No career progression or pay increment. Standard excuse is "company is not doing well". Alot of people have left since the tail end of last year, which means their original workload becomes part of your current workload. More work but same pay. Wow amazing! Pay you in exposure! 4) Company has a lot of senior management people who either don't empathize with the working team or don't really have any real use to the company. We tell them the problems but all fall on deaf ears. Our finance person is unable to provide details on when our freelancers are getting paid. Our ops person is unable to structure processes that ensure working team is able to work efficiently and effectively. Alot of unnecessary hires. 5) Spend half the working day putting out fires dealing with finance, scheduling, finding freelancers (whoever that is willing) before starting your actual job. In summary, please don't come here. The empty desks hint at the multiple glaring issues that management seem to be intentionally blind to. If can give zero stars, i will.
