Some great team members, new technologies researched and used (if the client allows)
Cons
Very underpaid relative to industry standards. No formal salary increase or bonus program, so often no raises or bonuses, and requests are looked upon as "disloyal". Management by reaction means consistently long nights and uncompensated overtime. Upper level management personalities have too much negative effect on company performance. Typical of management to characterize criticisms as a "disgruntled employees", of which there are many.
