Pros
Some crew are lovely, look out for each other and CRM with FC is good.
Cons
Where to start.. I joined in early 2000s and felt so special and full of pride to work for this airline. Accepted the pay wasn't great because trips were good. Eventually this changed (pay never went up - in fact the allowances pretty much halved, and the network became mainly USA and India, with short rest in between). No far east trips, and management hell bent on getting every minute of labour they can out of the crew. Only promote those in their special circle.. same faces in training/promo/secondments etc and they looooove the influencers. Great the company is diverse, but it became so much so that it was detrimental to anyone else. After the debacle that was Covid and they fired a ton of loyal senior crew, they reshaped contracts and conditions. Pay was still diabolical. I went back, and wished I hadn't. Took the leap and went to a bigger better airline and haven't looked back, except with sadness that the company I once loved has become what it is today; a constant revolving door of crew, used and abused. My payslips are almost double and less fatiguing work. Treated with more respect and management want their crew to thrive and progress. Obviously every airline is still ultimately a business but atleast this one has a much better route network, better conditions, career progression based on merit, and way better pay.
