Pros

Volition was full of great people. It was a wonderful place to work in-office. I had never had a job before this one where I felt comfortable and happy on the daily while working there.

Cons

The various parent companies that owned Volition over the past several years made lots of bad decisions. Dealing with some of them could make work very stressful as they frequently had unreasonable demands or came to us with requests and/or tasks with extremely short deadlines. They were bad at communication. The studio felt like it was barely keeping its head above water for the nearly past decade. A big decision made a decade ago that changed the structure of how the studio worked basically killed it in slow motion. The decision caused a lot of talented people to leave, and the studio never fully recovered.

Pros

Amazing people, work environment, culture, and teams! Loved everyone I met and wish I could go back. Was offered a full time position prior to their closure.

Cons

Took a little while (towards the end of my internship) to know that I was being offered a full time position prior to their closure.
