Pros
- Weekly pay is nice, but doesn't really help when you live where the cost of living is unbearable. - Union helps & the leaders are really kind & inclusive - Coworkers are a blend, but most are really sweet and helpful - Management is nice, I prefer the supervisors.
Cons
- Upper Management makes working here unbearable. They're insanely strict, and I think trying to pull all of the self expression out of the employees genuinely sucks. Work is already difficult, especially since a lot of us see each other more than anything else. We should be allowed more personal expression so long as we're dressed professionally. - The coworkers that aren't sweet/helpful typically end up being needlessly asshole-ish for no reason at all. - They cut hours store-wide often, so you can go from working 40 hours a week to 28 in the drop of a hat. - Scheduling is bad for our department, and especially front end. It's just terrible. Why would we only have 4 out of 12 people scheduled on a Sunday? That's stupid. It leaves no room for people who end up calling out. One call out, means we have a gap where one person is working alone for an entire department, or two people are alone and when one takes their break, a person is spending 30 minutes to an hour manning the busiest station in the store alone.
