Pros
I thought that it was a very well put together newsroom. For learning journalism, this is a good opportunity to learn if you can't get an internship anywhere else. The main news anchors were really solid. It was still a small market television station. It seemed like management and the staff didn't recognize that. Which was a good thing and bad thing. The market size didn't really matter as much as they claimed it did. I found this funny at the next station i worked at.
Cons
Looking back on it, the reporting staff seemed really immature for the drama that took place. The reporters and photographers turn around was around three stories a day. This is a lot. Reporters had to film their own stories and interns had film stuff too. But that's alot of pressure for the low pay they receive. I didn't care for the work environment. It really depends on whose is on the staff. Some people I still keep in contact with, and I hate to wish ill will on others.
