Manipulative senior team especially CEOs and COO who smooths everything over, pretending she has no knowledge of any issues and is “impartial” when actually she has been filled in on what’s happening and has been told how to respond.
Management will purposefully team up and keep staff in the dark so that they can be moulded to act a certain way. Constantly moving goal posts, staff work tirelessly, way more hours than they should with little flexibility. Team calls are at unsociable hours as there are time differences in the business but no respect to if that impacts childcare/school runs (ironically) or actual sleep before working a full day or after working a full day. There is also absolutely no appreciation for this, or ability to use the extra hours worked in lieu without a struggle.
Management claim to want feedback but do so at your own risk as you will be in the firing line, even if what you have said is for the good of the business being on ground level. Short-comings are always blamed on being a start-up despite the length of time of being in operation and common issues are not addressed.
All this comes with statutory parental leave and just 4 weeks annual leave... being a women’s diversity platform, I found this quite surprising
