As an ME, I learned a lot about engineering, tool design, locomotive systems
Cons
Overbearing PC HR department. "Chosen Ones" are moved out of the way of the consequences of their own incompetence. Constant layoff cycle. Besides the "Chosen Ones", you have a good old boy club. CEO advised employees to "move closer to work" when raises were low and fuel prices were high. Great advise for people subject to massive RIFs every few years.
