Pros

Junior coworkers are nice. That's about it.

Cons

Take a moment to read all of the 5 star reviews that have been posted about this company. Notice a trend? Yes, that's correct. No legitimate employee would actually write like that. Here are some word-for-word quotes from some of these "reviews". "The work is challenging, and sometimes I work a longer day than I’d like to, but I think that’s everyone at their jobs. My roommates work long days too sometimes and they work in other industries." "Some of the negative comments about Wakefield on this site are definitely from those employees who did not ever progress to more senior positions." "There are times where the company has a lot of projects in field, but because of the teamwork and strong communication it did not seem that bad. Plus the more work that goes on, the faster the day, the faster the day, the faster it is to weekend!" "I'm not sure why some of these other reviews are allowed to be posted because some are just silly and completely untrue, and others that paint this brutally negative picture are not a reflection of what it's like to work there at all...at least not while I was there and that was very recently." "Keep bringing in the fun, hardworking people and get rid of poisonous staff members who bring everyone else down (and are making your Glassdoor page look bad). " "(To be honest, that review was probably written by one of those young, negative employees - maybe even during work hours...)" I'll let you be the judge of how authentic these sound.

We are sorry that you aren't enjoying your time at Wakefield, or the writing style of your colleagues. If you are truly unhappy, you should consider leaving the company immediately. You are doing yourself and the company a disservice. A lot of people, both junior and senior staff, work awfully hard to make Wakefield a nice place to work. For example, in just the past week, the office closed for an all expenses paid holiday event, everyone received a generous holiday gift in their paycheck, and everyone has been given the week between Christmas and New Year's to work from home with extremely limited responsibilities. Most staff will work only a few hours this week, if at all. Every work environment has pros and cons. However, Wakefield has a highly professional, fun office environment with enormous opportunities for talented, hard-working people to advance. We only want the best people who are happy to work as part of a supportive team. If this does not describe you, please let your manager know that you are unhappy so that they can address your grievances, or help you move on to something better suited to your talents. For those of you reading this who are considering working at Wakefield, come on in and interview. You'll find a great group of people working with the best and most recognizable brands in the world. You'll see your work appear in the biggest and most prominent news sources. You'll learn a lot, and you'll be part of one of the fastest growing market research consultancies in the country.

Pros

The professionals at Wakefield Research are the best at what they do. They are incredibly smart, committed to each project and generous with their time. I love the team environment and how generous colleagues are, everyone is always willing to help each other. The work is very interesting, covering an incredible range of topics and working with clients who have been with us for years. There is generous time off, every federal holiday plus vacation and extra time given throughout the year. Remote work is a plus.

Pros

Main Research Director is amazing and everyone there (besides management) is great

Cons

I honestly just remembered when I had a concussion I took 1 day off because I couldn't see and was yelled at and that day I had to proof/edit 250 pages of a deck and I got yelled at lated that week for missing 1 typo. The amount of work for the amount of pay was ridiculous. They prey on your, inexperienced people and mold them into their type of workers - which is work 9 - when I say you can leave/log off. You "get" holidays off but wait - not when a client is expecting a deliverable and then you have your whole family eating Christmas dinner while testing a link you aited on for hours. For the love of god please do not work here.
