Pros

Free breakfast and lunch. That’s it.

Cons

Wallacespace presents itself as a comfortable, innovative, and people-focused workplace. In reality, it’s held together by an outdated structure, cheap equipment, chaotic/poor management and under skilled employees. The business feels like it’s fighting a losing battle to stay relevant in the modern world. The organisation’s top-heavy structure, filled with too many Directors and little real leadership, is clearly built on favouritism rather than capability. The CEO’s are a bumbling and unbearable pair whose constant rambling achieves nothing but confusion. Their attempts at leadership are painful to watch and directionless, wasting everyone’s time and energy. No clarity just chaos. Wallacespace claims that its greatest asset is ‘its people’ which is ironic given such an alarmingly high staff turnover. It’s hard to believe people are valued when so many leave so regularly. They hire young and inexperienced customer experience reps on a below than average London salary. Don’t fall for the ‘fun and creative’ environment. The reality is long, physical days with little purpose. When you’re not rushing around setting up rooms, you’ll often find yourself sat at a desk with nothing meaningful to do. The sales team structure is equally flawed. There’s minimal strategy, effective and relevant training, onboarding, career development and support. I’m very surprised to see other reviews about ‘good training’ at Wallacespace. They are clearly unreliable sources. The sales role is mostly repetitive outreach emails sent without consistency or direction. The lack of coherence within the team is comical and leaves the whole department feeling disorganised and deflated. The expectations and pressure are high for a salary below £36k. Especially considering the consistent failure to provide structured and meaningful training. Wallacespace offer employees free breakfast and lunch, the only real perk. Even the office equipment provided is poor quality, another irony for a ‘innovative’ workspace. Cheap chairs, not enough desks for its employees, and unreliable tech that makes your average working day frustrating. There are no real perks or development opportunities, despite what they’ll tell you. The ‘learning and development scheme’ is essentially a quarterly raffle, where one or two people are randomly chosen. It’s misleading and disheartening, a common theme for Wallacespace. Wallacespace looks appealing from the outside, but behind the branding and marketing buzzwords is a company that underpays, undervalues, and underdelivers. If you’re serious about career growth, stability, or working somewhere that actually invests in its people, look somewhere else.
