Pros

Walser is the real deal. I've been an employee of Walser Automotive for over 3.5 years. Some things I love about working here: The company prioritizes work life balance and family. Whether that is through the 4 day work week, flexible PTO policy or comprehensive employee benefit offerings. As a working mother, I feel so fortunate to work for a company that allows me to be a mom first, but also pursue my career goals. Leaders in this company have truly made a space for you to thrive personally and professionally. Walser also prides itself on career growth and development. I can say from firsthand experience this is truly one of their strongest areas. I have felt supported in every step of my career and been mentored, challenged, and supported to reach the next level. Lastly, Walser's dedication to it's people is truly progressive and unique. From offering paid parental leave, to employee resource groups, Walser is always pushing itself to be more progressive, more transparent, and more inclusive.

Cons

Sometimes there is a disconnect between corporate initiatives and the dealership. This is to be expected at an organization that is growing rapidly. Senior management is making a conscious effort to improve communication to the stores as the company continues to expand on it's progressive ideas.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear that your experience at Walser over the past 3.5 years has been so positive, especially with regard to work-life balance, career development, and the supportive culture we strive to create. Being that we are a family-focused company, it’s great to know that as a working mother, you feel empowered to succeed both personally and professionally with the flexibility and benefits we offer. Family is at the core of who we are as an organization. We also appreciate your constructive feedback about the communication between corporate and the dealerships. We hear you. As you mentioned, with rapid growth comes challenges, and we’re committed to improving communication to ensure everyone stays connected to our initiatives. Be on the lookout for companywide communications surrounding our upcoming Annual Operating Plan & Big Bets for 2025. We hope our consistent approach to outlining our initiatives broadly, and through your store leadership, will bring more clarity to each employee. Your insight helps us stay focused on making the right improvements. Thank you for being such a valued part of the Walser family! Lindsey Trett Walser's Director of Talent Acquisition

Pros

Good training, base salary, benefits like health insurance, 401k. Good pay plan for high volume dealerships.

Cons

Pay plan is entirely based on volume, and some rooftops are doing in a day what others do in a week. Do your research as to where you go because you can't switch to another dealership until you have tenure. The volume at Toyota is insane. Meanwhile I'm next door at the Buick GMC dealership and our volume is terrible, and I can't switch for months. I'm likely going to have to quit.
