Pros
I want this company to succeed because of the truly, truly wonderful people still employed there. While many of the more outspoken employees were laid off, there are still tons of folks at the manager level and below who care and are great advocates for each other and their teams. The core community of users is caring and it's heartwarming to see their successes with the platform. My hope is that the company turns itself around and continues to succeed if only for them.
Cons
I, along with many of my fellow tenured colleagues, were recently laid off in what I can only describe as a dehumanizing experience. I joined the company in 2021 when it was far and beyond the best place I've ever worked, with human-centered leadership and a company mission that was truly lived out by execs and all team members. We had a team full of people who felt seen, heard, and empowered. I'm disappointed to report that things have drastically changed, and these changes have been fast-tracked (and intentional) over the past 6-12 months by C-Suite and VP-level leadership. Complaining of burnout and overwhelm was recently rebranded by a C-level executive as being "a victim". I may seem bitter, and I may (rightfully) be, but this team and community simply deserve better. Unfortunately, this downward trend doesn't seem to be changing any time soon, and I don't recommend joining now.
