Hard to plan and execute on the plan. The goalposts are always changing. I was hired for my expertise in a niche area of IT but was constantly undermined by other management and by team members who were positioning for favor from leadership. It was so bad that at several vendors told me privately that they could see what was happening "they're undercutting you at every turn."
