Pros

-Defined process allows for easy training in the testing lab with ISO 9001 & ISO17025 (A2LA) certifications. -Open communication from management about company status and health. -Unique and interesting manufacturing process -Plentiful hours if wanting to work overtime -good benefits -community involvement -company events and food trucks in the summer -reducing carbon footprint with recycled plastics -opportunity to engage with multiple departments -new admin facility & testing lab -consistently growing

Cons

-some better paying jobs for the same title in the Grand Rapids area -some don’t enjoy the smell of melting plastic -time can be demanding if you need to fill in for one of your team members -no music earbuds on production floor for safety reasons

+consistent hours and schedule +food trucks

Cons

-exposure to carcinogenic fumes/additives daily. Very normal to not be able to see the other side of the floor due to the fumes. Management says it is safe and does not provide PPE, packaging of additives says otherwise. Several former employees are affected long-term negatively by inhaling these additives and Or exposure to them on their skin. Management just moves them to the other location or puts them on a Hilo. -mistreats anyone who works there longer than 5 years. Forces them out the door. - only successful if you have one of the “favored” last names which you will see everywhere. (There’s 3 or 4 common last names). If you aren’t one, you aren’t moving up. - widely known customer specifications via quality are not met, but doctored, to meet performance/shipping incentives for sales staff. - hires supervisors for each shift at double the hourly pay of extrusion operators. supervisors with no extrusion experience that have no clue how the business works. Then they wonder why they last 4-6 weeks and rinse, repeat.
