Pros
Acceptable pay range for the position, although not all categories are created equal so the same salary could be considered overpaid for one dept and underpaid for the next (i.e. SB for safety/commodities/ concrete/waterproofing, etc). Decent opportunities for growth and development. Several managers who do truly care about their team and the company help balance out morale for the upper management that may fall short in those areas.
Cons
Upper management is detached from the day-to-day and doesn't always consider input from those actually in the thick of it and will change/implement policies that do not make sense to the people actually executing the job. Very heavily data driven even though there are so many nuances that numbers themselves cannot accurately represent. Workload and responsibilities continually increase, while pay does not. Leadership boats about growth and acquisitions and then weeks later denies or severely reduces annual merit raises/bonuses due to not meeting company financial targets which is very confusing as an employee.
