Pros

- CEO is a talented photographer

Cons

(Some also stated in previous posts) - CEO is a compulsive liar. He will lie to you, his clients, his models, anyone if it will benefit him - Interns are hired instead of needed employees so CEO does not have to pay for work & takes advantage of the inexperienced - Responsibilities are never clearly defined so CEO can ask you to do anything regardless of role - High turnover of staff & interns - Health care & retirement benefits are non-existent - Complains about nothing getting done but rejects new ideas & fixates on pointless tasks - Promises the world, but delivers nothing - Blames everyone/anyone for things not going the way CEO wants & never takes responsibility - Gaslights people when called out for issues and/or inappropriate jokes/comments - Manipulates employees - Dresses inappropriately (No shirt, sometimes comes to work in only a speedo & robe) - Complains about money problems but continues a lavish lifestyle Any positive reviews were likely created either by friends CEO has recruited or by people who need to remain on his good side to continue working in the photography/modeling industry, rather than employees giving an honest account of the company’s work environment.

Pros

Jim, as a teacher, always emphasizes the importance of communication. He never hesitates to pick up the phone and jump on a call with a client or collaborator. He encourages his models and employees to be on constant communication, so we are all in the loop on what is going on. Jim allowed me to sit in and take notes on many of these calls. He even trusted me to speak directly with talent to coordinate meetings and provide updates on various bookings/castings. Jim is very encouraging as a mentor. Furthermore, as long as I communicated that I wanted to learn, he would sit down and teach me. He mentored me on retouching photos for magazines, directing talent, communicating effectively, photographing tips, and much more.

Cons

Be prepared to learn, think on your feet, and move fast in the modeling industry!
