Pros
They keep their analyzers and instruments up to date, LIS system is simple to use. They phlebotomists around the clock so you don't have to perform venipuncture as a MLS/CLS. Good benefits.
Cons
This hospital system consists of at least 4 hospitals/labs, so this is specific to Willis Knighton South Lab. Not as stressful as some other labs, but can be very busy. Not staffed well on second and third shift at WKS lab. The staffing is very top heavy with most of the staff here during the day then down to just two at night, with a very busy ER. Also, there are very few opportunities to advance your career into management or anything else. These jobs are few and mostly already taken by senior staff who won't retire.
