Pros
Very comfortable, easy to get along with patrons and other lifeguards. When I left it seemed pool management was getting stricter and more regulated which was very good. Shifts were normal length and rotations were quick so you won't have to worry about being bored on stand.
Cons
My training period was very short (only during 1 morning shift) and I felt like I didn't know enough/wasn't 100% sure of how to clean pool, backwash, membership options. I should have asked more questions - DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS (like I was)! Some kids at the pool were a nuisance to deal with every day (distracting guards).
