Pros
- Benefits are very good with Blue Cross. - Pay is decent after enough time worked and based on union wage. - Extremely fast paced customer service industry that allows you to meet lots of cool people. - Employee Stock Ownership Program creates a very nice retirement if you can survive that long.
Cons
- Management has increasing and extremely unrealistic expectations for their employees. - Dealing with humanity in such a capacity will occasionally fill you with seeping hatred. - New corporate supervisors are frigid and inhuman; they care only for the bottom line. - Don't expect ANY positive reinforcement or feedback and you won't be disappointed. - Neck bending work speeds and back breaking labor because of stingy labor allotment. - Corporate management is now exclusively hired from outside the company. - Having seniority no longer gains you anything but a worthless "Years of Service" pin. - "Point" based disciplinary system is just a rigid turnover engine.
