Pros
- Talented and supportive colleagues with deep expertise and a willingness to share knowledge.
- Exposure to interesting challenges, and the tech is genuinely industry-leading.
Cons
- Leadership lacked strategic vision, leading to reactive planning and disorganized day-to-day operations. The work environment often felt chaotic, with no clear direction.
- Persistent micromanagement undermined autonomy and derailed sound professional judgement.
- Being heard and respected was especially difficult without fitting into a narrow mold.
When I raised concerns, It was repeatedly implied that I was a poor "culture fit" and not suited for working at a scale-up. I absolutely don't agree with this. But, even if this is true, I don’t think it invalidates my points above.
