Pros
You get to do other people’s work and are criticized for not doing double the amount of work you were hired to do better. There is no team effort it’s a look at me and take credit for others good job atmosphere. False scenarios are fabricated to make the more skilled or should I say actually skilled and experienced members of maintenance. There are clicks and the good ole boy roots are deep. Extremely toxic environment to work in, the less you know, the less experience you have, and the less you do will get you further there than putting forth the effort while utilizing your skills and experience.
Cons
The 2-2-3 12 HR shifts on nights is the very draining. The company knows this and nothing is being done to address it. The falsely that you only work 1/2 the time you would at a M-F schedule is just a hook point, don’t fall for it. You average 44hr per week, working nights on the weekends is horrible. No support of any kind when the bandaided, run to failure equipment goes down. Then you get criticized again for not getting the machines to make what the company calls quality product.
