Pros
World fuel services is a good place when you are in early stages of your career since but don’t expect to get promote easily later. They promote all interns to software Engineer II in their first year. They support immigration.
Cons
There are many cons, some leaders are really micro managers, year end reviews in are so subjective and biased. Manager told lies a lot and never appreciate your work and never be transparent especially on Shared services. WFS merge multiple teams together so that they don’t need to hire Senior Engineers. HRs usually take sides on leadership and never hear your story. Performance bonus is a joke sometimes you get it sometimes you don’t. No consistency on that. Domain architects have lack of depth in terms of knowledge comparing to industry standards. Business is hurting and not making money. Leadership strategy is to just fire Senior employees to save money as the response to business improvement. Some of leaders don’t have clue on their tech products and no work recognition. 1:1s is really absurd. No career advices from the leadership. Leadership changes their strategy a lot and trying to underpay and overcook all the time. Once you start as a Senior Engineer in WFS you really need some luck on your side to become promote to the next level. In my tenure, I see lot of good candidate leave WFS due to leadership politics.
