Pros

The company has several divisions. Website Division: work usually based on WordPress, team is very diverse not just in terms of background but skills - split between in-office and remote workers. Seniors are really sharp and excellent, some strict, other very warm people. The company does regularly give juniors a chance which they either take and progress or they don’t and they don’t make it. As a team they deliver fantastic websites, but the company probably does not charge enough which at times can lead to pressures on the devs. Client base is also diverse from small businesses to pop-stars and national high street brands. Enterprise Cloud Platform Development Team: These guys are the best I’ve worked with in 20 years in IT. Highly, intelligent, professional and actually all amazing people. The team mostly works under the Agile methodology for the larger clients. This team doesn’t often work directly with the Website team but sometimes they do support each other. There is opportunity for the best performing website devs to be promoted into this team. The Marketing Team: These guys are all relatively young, from a range of different backgrounds (I think including Iran, Spain, Cameroon, Gambia etc.) each with different perspectives on marketing and different skills ranging from SEO, PPC, Influencer management, content marketing etc. All really nice, what some may lack in experience they make up for in energy and enthusiasm, which I suppose is good for marketing. As devs we support them with their technical requirements, API integrations, data collection, GDPR / security etc. Design Team: This team supports all the above. Lead guy, from Brazil, is a true artist with a hug heart. They could do with one or two more designers in there to help them share their load. The new Web 3.0 / VR stuff they are now doing is very cool. Generally though they take their design briefs and feedback well and deliver our assets in the time we need. Summary: - Diverse team of talented people that do get on really well and produce superb work for some interesting clients - You learn a lot here - Standards are high - Offices are great - CEO is very open / generous - Christmas parties are usually company wide weekend trips to a European city - 5-star hotels - loads of fun. - Company is good at what it does, has been around for 20+ years, solid place to be - Some of the work we do makes a positive difference on a national / international scale

Cons

- Standards are high, tough for some - Design need a couple more hands on deck - They are trying to phase out remote working - Although I get the policy of recruiting juniors - many are now seniors / team leads, new generation have the wrong attitude (doesn’t feel great to be working hard whilst the kid next to you is watching Netflix)

Pros

Started last year as a data scientist working on innovation projects. The senior management is very understanding on different employees' individual situation and offering great flexibility and work arrangement in need. They have also managed to attract some big clients showing their professional excellence as a web development & digital marketing company. The CEO is very nice to deal with and my technical director is brilliant, encouraging, understanding. They both know how to empower their employees. The senior devs are very competent and friendly to work with. The company operation manger is also really nice and has resolved all my general inquiries quickly during my employment. The company occasionally has banters in chats which says they are treating employees like family. There are also holiday events that are really fun ways for bringing everyone together to build connections across departments.

Cons

There are sometimes sudden meetings without any schedule/notice leading to occasional stacked workloads and miscommunications. But I believe they are looking to improve this at their best.
