Pros

Good pay / commissions Training Nice people to work with

Cons

Health care plan “Blade” will cut you quicker than you were hired The company culture is fake Notice how long the company has been around and notice how long employees have been employed with the company. There is a very high turnover rate. The CEO is a “Christian” and talks a big game. I would be very careful not to listen to what she says and remember that she is a businesswoman before anything else. You either drink the punch when she says or you’ll be out cold.

Company is growing and opportunities often present themselves. Culture is at its core. Leadership practices what it preaches now more than ever. Willing to listen to junior level employees Constantly seeking to improve products, not settle for mediocracy. Great coworkers Remote work environment.

Cons

Small companies will struggle to provide benefits comparable to larger companies. Growing pain are never easy but often worth it.

Pros

Remote work. There are some good people here trying to make an impact in spite of poor leadership and market headwinds.

Cons

If you’re considering joining this organization, I’ll suggest four lines of questioning to the hiring manager and leadership team. What is the turnover rate? It’s quite high. Why? What was the staffing size of the company 5 years ago? 10 years ago? Now? Dramatic swings. Why? What were your last two quarters sales numbers and what is your current sales pipeline? It’s weak. Would prior employees and leaders rejoin the organization? Unlikely. Why? Are the benefits competitive? Unlikely. Is there a written severance agreement that honors employees? Nope. Inquire to former employees about the CEO and you’ll hear recurring leadership failures also shared in other reviews; emotional manipulation, micromanagement, mistruths, isolation, rampant gossip and favoritism. It’s all true. It’s tragic. The award-winning culture they hang their hat on is a myth from a lost era of the company. One could question the legitimacy of pay-for-play business culture surveys and awards. In its current state, the culture is toxic. Failures to adapt to the market are evident in dated products, attrition and inconsistent customer experiences. Value is waning. Bonuses are non-existent. Salaries are stagnant. Benefits are reduced. Terminations are abrupt and unplanned. Staffing gaps are evident and fulfilling obligations is questionable. Hardship reveals bad leadership. The owner trusts no one, listens to no one, lacks vision and fails to lead transformation. She openly dismisses active employees and trashes the credibility of former employees. Departing was a relief.
