Pros

While you are there nobody has a clue what’s happening. The CEO is a rookie. Middlemen are being taken for a ride by the CTO and acting CEO.

Cons

No direction it’s a banana republic. The company is a joke. I was one of the most productive employees and saved the company a ton of money. I was not recognized for my achievements got 0% raise and was fired with 0 minute notice over a zoom call. I was putting in extra hours and even working after hours. People not going ahit and sucking up to management are still there.

Pros

Start up company vibes. Some weeks are very fast paced. We use best in class (cloud based) tools. The team I work on is fairly small and that means requests/changes/work is pretty fast paced (in a good way). The work is pretty rewarding and interesting... granted we're working with financial data so it's not always terribly exciting but the data applications we're building are best in class. We're encouraged to try new technology and build solutions that are innovative. Salary and benefits are overall very good (comparatively speaking). We get to work 100% remotely and occasionally (paid) business travel is involved so that's a win (depending on what you prefer).

Cons

We have some offshore teams we work with which can create... issues as times. Sometimes the work from those teams are, how should I put it, not as high quality as we'd prefer. Being a smaller company that is in a unique position (we're somewhat owned/funded by much larger companies), communication between teams is limited and often there are miscommunication issues. FYI - A few years ago a large number of employees were laid off as the company restructured. This has put a bad taste in many people's mouths about this company (see older reviews) and it's future outlook but... in my experience it's been a pretty good company to be a part of (thus far).

Pros

The team and people were genuinely kind and enthusiastic about pushing boundaries with new technology. Remote work was by far the biggest benefit – it offered real flexibility and autonomy. Leadership generally respected my time mostly.

Cons

The organization was opaque and top-down, with a Succession-style family ownership dynamic that created real confusion about who held authority over what. There was no legible org chart, and most people had little visibility into what their colleagues actually did. That structural chaos flowed directly from a lack of clear leadership and vision. The company cycled through half-baked initiatives without follow-through, leaving a stressed-out product team and no meaningful design leadership. The default mode was panic and firefighting. The business alignment choices were also a concern – partnerships with some ethically questionable third parties reflected poorly on the company’s values. But the most glaring issue was compensation. For my level of seniority, pay was 40-50% below market, and there was zero willingness to negotiate. It felt dismissive. Finally, a recent large-scale layoff discarded a lot of genuinely talented people with no apparent regard for what was lost.
