Pros

* Decent salary and standard benefits. * A few good peers who are collaborative and supportive.

Cons

* Micromanagement is deeply rooted in the culture. Employees are constantly monitored, and even slight delays are blown out of proportion with public shaming instead of respectful, one-on-one discussions. * Favoritism is rampant. Certain individuals are given extended work-from-home privileges (even up to 1.5 months) without questions, while others are penalized for much smaller, well-communicated absences. * Toxic communication style. Managers often use a harsh and condescending tone in group chats and emails, creating a stressful and demoralizing work environment. * Lack of psychological safety. Speaking up or explaining your side can make you a target. * Trust deficit. Employees are not trusted to manage their time, despite demonstrating accountability.

Pros

Supportive and talented teammates, strong work-life balance, and a high level of autonomy. You’re trusted to own your work and gain meaningful, hands-on experience.

Cons

Recent leadership changes and widespread layoffs, including most of the UX and research team, significantly impacted morale and culture. Collaboration across global time zones could be challenging, and compensation was not competitive for Bay Area roles. The environment became less welcoming under new management.
