Good Pay, Good benefits, but can be unstable and unfriendly if also pursuing education. - Assembler Yamaha Motor Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay of $14.11/hr. after 3 months of fulfilling reasonable "satisfactory" requirements. Training is usually very thorough and it is very rare to be "left in a lurch" though it does happen. Management is extremely communicative, often calling employee meetings to explain downtime (or overtime) and when work flow and hours are expected to be back to normal. Quarterly bonuses ranging from $200 to as much as much as $800.

Cons

As an assembly job it is very very monotonous. Depending on the area you are assigned to you may have very little to almost too much to do within the time limit (which was 2 minutes while I was employed). Moving to different areas during the first few months was far too often for my taste, though this may be a pro to some. Hours can be shaky, over time can be excessive at times (58 hours per week is usually the absolute maximum). Actual employment has been unstable (as of 2009), with only 4 months worked out of 6. Temporary unemployment is given.

Pros

Great workplace, great coworkers, and great culture if you’re passionate about the powersports industry. The benefits are good, 401k match is good.

Cons

Pay compensation could be a little better, but this industry is cyclical. When the economy is good, raises and bonuses are easier to obtain. During tough times that affect the industry as a whole, things can get lean, but understandably so.

Pros

Sweet talkers, reassure you well even if they are lying through their teeth.

Cons

Tell you not to worry about your jobs so you stay and do their work for them... then can you week later no empathy
