Pros
I have had a fantastic experience working at YouLend for the 2 years I have been here. The work is interesting and meaningful, you feel like you can make a big difference to merchant's businesses. There is a clear direction set by upper management on the goals we want to achieve. In my experience higher management have been really accessible and helpful which is great for a company that I have seen add 200 more employees in the last 2 years. The culture is excellent. Lots of social events on the calendar across the company giving everyone a chance to bond and great for team building. The company goes out of their way for our big summer party and Christmas party for the end of year. Really unforgettable experiences so far. Other benefits are also very useful including Vitality and getting free lunch in the office. Everyone in the office is really helpful and there is a real can do attitude and collaboration across different teams to achieve success. Youlend also cares about employee's wellbeing. There is a real sense that employee's voices matter, evidenced by things like the employee committee getting together, taking on board feedback from all departments and working closely with HR on implementing improvements. I was lucky to have been part of this process and seeing it work first-hand. There has also been excellent promotion opportunities within our department or across to other departments within Youlend fostering a real culture of personal and professional development. To summarise the pro's: -Excellent working culture -Great benefits -Upper management are helpful and accessible -Transparency and openness across the company -Clear direction and goals where the company is headed -Excellent opportunities for progression -Collaboration across different teams is excellent
Cons
-Minor areas for improvement in overall communication between departments which has been hampered slightly by rapid growth
