Pros

Having the freedom to plan your own day, when short term family issues arise - it is handled well, some managers were good...but those are slowly being phased out. the benefits package is decent though not as good as when we started as prices have increased, this is the case just about everywhere now..

Cons

Micromanagement of time, Certain employees are able pick and choose which rules to abide by and are allowed to get away with unethical practices even though everyone is aware and nothing is done. Lots of promises of change without follow thru from management. When an issue is not being handled as it should by management, as much as I continued to fight.. nothing was done. I even brought my concerns up at the exit interview that was conducted over the phone and nothing was followed up on.

Pros

Zee Medical is a great job to start off with out of college to get outside sales experience. They give you a vehicle with a gas card so you don't have to worry about a vehicle expense. The territories are very big and guarded just for you. Management is very helpful and tries to provide all the tools necessary to do your job better. McKesson also provides excellent Health Care Benefits.

Cons

Long hours, even longer driving hours, low pay...I made around $1,500.00 to $2,500 per month average before taxes, but it's straight commission averaging around 18% of your sales (my goal was 16K monthly), you sometimes have to be a bill collector so you won't get charged back. Very little opportunity for advancement. My manager was awesome and he had been in the same postion for 21 years without advancement and told me he was frustrated because they were paying people more coming in the door than they were for his salary when his team always made goal every month and had been with the company so long. Also, you have to do a ton of paperwork, inventory and van reloading that takes 4-6 hours extra per-week with no compensation.
