Pros

The initial promise of working on innovative projects like Revaly was what attracted me to ZVerse. The early days were filled with excitement, and the team had a strong sense of camaraderie.

Cons

Over time, the atmosphere at ZVerse drastically changed. The management started shifting priorities without clear communication, making it difficult to stay aligned with the company's goals. Despite dedicating long hours and contributing to critical project milestones, I felt increasingly sidelined and undervalued.

Pros

-Close developer relationships -Wonderful, patient & knowledgeable mentors who are available for help when necessary - Opportunity to learn technologies similar to your skillset and be an integral team member -Flexible work opportunities, managers will go above and beyond to help you succeed and have the environment you need - Great work environment for hardworking skilled engineers - Co-worker relations propagate amongst the team → All team members will be easy to work with if you fit in - Good health benefits and PTO policies - Status quo is dedicated workers starting early, finishing late and sporadic work in the evenings - Team members look out for one another's wellbeing On a personal note, I found everyone very pleasant and would recommend working here. *My experience is limited as I started in April and resigned on medical grounds in June

Cons

-Status quo is dedicated workers starting early, finishing late and sporadic work in the evenings - Onboarding was rough, although it was being revamped during my time at ZVerse -Co-worker relations propagate amongst the team → strained relations with one member and it is strained with other members

Pros

There is a lot of growth potential at ZVerse if you are willing to work and be creative. There aren't clear policies around working from home, taking days off, or holidays, which always works to the benefit of employees. I have never seen any employee reprimanded for taking time off, or working from home, the only thing you are responsible for is getting your work done. As a start-up, you will get a ton of exposure to upper management, including the CEO. You can meet with them anytime you want, and talk to them about anything. I doubt this is an experience you could replicate anywhere else. If you do your job and generate value, you will be noticed, rewarded, and appreciated.

Cons

ZVerse is a start-up, which means that, if you want, you can move faster and work harder than at a typical 9-5, which admittedly is not for everyone. The company made some questionable hiring decisions during the pandemic, and this led to the company having to let many of the employees go. The company is better for this, but it left a bad taste in some peoples mouths. Because ZVerse is a start-up, you have to work to secure your job, which makes some people uneasy. If you are looking for a job where you can just do (only what you are assigned) without being accountable to the larger profitability of your department or company, then you should probably work somewhere more corporate.
