Pros

Working from home, or really anywhere there is internet has allowed me to be able to do things such as visit my parents out of state without missing work, and not having to worry that my dog will be left home alone all day is great peace of mind. Plus I only have to buy gas for my car every 6 weeks or so because I no longer have a commute! I was worried I would go stir crazy or feel isolated because I'm a pretty social person, but I have a pod of teammates who I chat with everyday and that really helps me to feel connected. Also, this company really has their employees back. I had a very difficult client who was misusing the service and treated me very poorly, and Zirtual prioritized my well being over getting money from an abusive client. This experience really solidified my loyalty to Zirtual, and I am a better employee to them because of it.

Cons

The pay is low. They are very upfront about it, and acknowledge that they want to pay their employees more, but that it will take time. There are however great benefits, and a decent amount of paid time off, as well as paid holidays. They also have a bonus structure for client retention, although since you do not choose your own clients, sometimes that is out of your control when it's just not a good fit. Overall, I valued the companies great culture and perks over the pay. I turned down several jobs that paid nearly twice as much and I don't regret that decision at all.

Pros

Zirtual now includes Double, Virtual Gurus, Delegated, and Del Trust. We are under the umbrella of PennSpring Capital so this cash cow is not going anywhere.

Cons

They take 50% of the client's fee; we pay a 30% Federal tax + State tax on the remainder, in addition to sourcing our own software and equipment. They say we can turn down client offers BUT they rarely send clients since the acquisitions. When they do, it is hard not to accept because it could be months before they send another. Management says, "we are waiting for a client that matches you." Meanwhile, they continue to hire new Virtual Assistants. Team meetings now include a justification for continued hired despite the massive under use of our existing team. When I started, I earned 3x times more than what I am making now. I can tell you from experience, it is really hard to plan meals for someone when you are starving.
