Pros
Everyone who works at aql has to sign a really serious NDA. The reason for this is some of the very cool contracts they work on in defence, space, banking, utilities. This isn't something everyone gets but it's a high pressure, high responsibility place. Don't just apply for a job, make sure you get on with the head of your team. The CEO and some of the team has ADHD - this isn't a bad thing, but there's a huge culture of detail and getting things right, so you have to give your best. But it also means that if you have some of these traits you'll fit right in :)
Cons
The main thing is that there's a lot going on and there's sometimes periods of silence where there's something big going on but we only hear at the last minute what it is and we'd like to be trusted more with the journey. We're seeing better comms recently as lockdown ended but we really want to hear more about the good stuff and to feel more of a part of it earlier on. Not a moan, just hopefully the team will see this.
