Great dev team to work with, genuinely interested in improving as devs and sharing within the team. Exceptional team lead with experience and knowledge, and great attitude towards team members. Interesting work at times, good Remote/Office balance, meeting up once a month is genuinely valuable and enjoyable, but the office is pleasant enough for those who want to be based there
Cons
Signs of growing pains as the companies success is leading to growing from the small company/startup feel to a larger dev team, as senior management team felt increasingly more distant over my time with the company, and exposure to senior management is still influential on company progression, remuneration and profit share, which means doing your job well enough to satisfy your line manager isn't always enough. However, senior management are making progress in this area as there are plans for more regular scheduled contact Agency nature of work means variety, but sometimes keeping the customer happy is more important than good development practices. Secrecy around leavers feels like denial, while I understand not celebrating people leaving, it happens, so pretending it doesn't just feels worse and is potentially a security risk
